Background

25+ years. marketing experience, including 6 years as Marketing Director at Levi Straus South Africa (Pty) Ltd), 4 years as Chief Marketing Officer at Shout it Now, and 8 years consulting at executive level to various FMCG companies.  Currently serves as CEO of breast cancer non-profit CheckKnowPrevent and of philanthropic competitions technology start-up Starlight Media.  Debbie has a keen interest in human behaviour, particularly as it relates to brand opinion, selection and shopper understanding.  Philanthropic initiatives such as CSI programmes are very dear to her heart, and she supports several programmes in her personal capacity. Debbie truly believes in living the brand and to this day it’s unusual to find her not wearing a pair of Levi’s® jeans!
